Hey!
I'm Randy Kato. I've been a Cyr wheeler for well over a decade (performer, coach, competitor, evangelist, etc.). Frankly, I feel kinda stupid that it took me so long to put this together...but I would - finally - like to introduce you to Wheels4Wheels!
So, a little background...
Ever since I started playing with this big metal apparatus, I've been looking for the easiest way to move it around. I live in New York City, so it's not like being in the suburbs with a house where I easily load my wheel into the car in the garage and drive to a parking spot right in front of the gym. I need to move through an urban environment in whichever way is most appropriate, which means any combination of walking, subway, bus, car, bike, or my current favorite, Onewheel.
Through the years I've tried all sorts of things: wheeled keyboard cases; rifle cases; snowboard bags, kiteboard bags, and even some weird rope stuff that might even qualify as shibari. The best thing thus far was still a good Cyr bag (my favorite to this day being the Spinnovation "bucket bag"). But those still required schlepping the damn thing over your shoulder, and we all know what a pleasure that can be. My other NYC Cyr peers know the struggle well.
My current training space doesn't allow wheel storage, so it's nearly a couple miles round trip with the wheel slung over my shoulder. Doable, but I thought there must be a better way. So I set to figuring out a solution.
Wheels4Wheels was developed for my particular needs, but will serve just about any Cyr wheeler well. I wanted large diameter inline skate wheels and a wide stance for smooth rolling, especially at higher speeds over rough roads. I needed wide cinch-style straps for a good tight grip on the wheel. A strong, comfortable handle with adjustability was also a must. And no cutting corners, quality parts throughout, because we circus folks will find a way to destroy cheap crap, or anything designed to carry things that weigh much less than a Cyr wheel (archery bow cases, snowboard/ski bags, etc).
Here are some of the specs...
8"/20.3cm wheel track offers maximal stability and maneuverability at any speed.
90mm inline skate wheels and quality bearings handle speed and rough terrain with ease.
2" wide velcro will not loosen and holds wheel sections together in a stable bundle.
Strong, adjustable handle includes a clip for easy management of loose straps.

This is how we roll.
