Hi,

This month's photo(s) were chosen for a number of reasons, some you may be able to guess based on appearance/current events, others are related to personal experiences I've had over the past few weeks.

I won't go into detail about all those reasons, but I was drawn back to my Polaroid transfer prints. I had my selection narrowed down to these two, but couldn't decide on one. As I previewed them side by side I realized that they belong together - both for their similarities as well as their contrasts. So this month you get a twofer!

There is a lot that one can speculate looking at these two images juxtaposed, but we don't know their stories. Assumptions... Well, we all know what happens when we ass-u-me. All I know is what I see.

I see beautiful people. I see colors, not just brown and white, but the graffiti in the background and the many shades of pink (the Polaroid transfer process does wonderful things with pink) that seem to bleed into the sky. I see proud mothers and their daughters out on the streets of NYC. That's what I see and that's all I know about them.

Actually, that's not true; I know one more thing. That little cutie on the right...her name is Trinity.

Enjoy,
Randy
