Hi,

If you didn't know, I am a circus performer. This time of year (late summer / Halloween) is a busy season for gigs.

So this month's pic pick is (sort of) from a gig. It's actually from the journey on the way to the gig, which was in Des Moines, IA.

Des Moines?!

Yep. It's not at all uncommon for big events to bring in performers from NYC, Las Vegas, etc. to where they don't have high level circus talent locally. So there is often travel involved, whether it's flights out to the midwest, driving to event spaces in New Jersey, or Native-American casinos in Connecticut.

This shot is from the Detroit Metro Airport where we had a stopover. They installed a really nice light installation in the tunnel that connects the terminals - all set to a great Motown soundtrack of course.

I had never been to the Detroit airport, and I must admit that I was a bit nonplussed with the idea of a connection in Detroit. But it's a nice airport and this psychedelic light tunnel made it quite enjoyable.

Now if somebody could just replace that burnt out bulb...

Enjoy,
Randy
