Right now many of our friends are far far away, in the middle of nowhere. They've built a bustling city. From scratch. And soon it will disappear without a trace.
It's Burning Man. And even though we aren't there this year, it's impossible to ignore. So I let my thoughts drift to that cross-country pilgrimage we've made so many times.
One stop we always make on the way is at the Bonneville Salt Flats. It's most famous for land speed records, but it's also a place of otherworldly beauty.
But all that salt sure made me thirsty! ;^]
