Hi,

This may look familiar if you've been receiving these emails for a while. Exactly three years ago I chose a similar photo I called "Fall." It was a waterfall taken amidst the fall foliage. Normally I would try to avoid such a repetition.

But I just couldn't resist!

We recently took a trip up the Hudson for a fall hike. A friend recommended the trails near Cold Spring, NY so that's where we went. It was magical. There were numerous times in this enchanted forest where we felt like we were wandering through a fairy tale.

The day was perfect, clear and warm. The leaves were at peak color, ranging from greens through yellows and oranges to deep reds. Some areas were carpeted with golden leaves and we felt like we were following the yellow brick road.

You could just sit and watch the leaves flutter to the ground. Simply delightful.

Once again I was without a tripod yet trying to take long exposures to capture the cascading water. I braced the camera against whatever I could, held my breath and squeezed the shutter release. I think I'm getting pretty good at this!

Enjoy!
Randy
